Dances We Love to Teach!
The Paso Doble
Paso Doble meaning two steps, for the most part sums up the basic footwork in a nutshell. Although, that says nothing for the dance's highly dramatic flair or intensity. The Paso Doble usually is danced to what we would think of as bullfighting music. This dance portrays the leader as the matador and his follower is his cape to create a sharp, exciting and dramatic performance. The most difficult part of this dance is creating the attitude which we love to watch so much, but until you get that down, the patterns and techniques will certainly keep you entertained.
Both American and International style ballroom dances are divided into the
following categories:
Rhythm
Bolero | Cha-Cha | E Coast Swing | W Coast Swing | Hustle | Lindy Hop |Mambo | Merengue | Polka | Rumba | Salsa | Samba | Two Step | Jive | Paso Doble
