We Teach Dancing-Not Steps
"The Fred Astaire Way to better Dancing"
The new Fred Astaire method of teaching is based on the three important goals of dancing:
How The Student Looks To Those Watching: The ability to dance freely with beauty of movement. Graceful style, handsome footwork and refined dance position make our students "outstanding on the dance floor." This is listed on the charts as Appearance.
How The Student Feels To A Partner: This means the ability to lead or follow any partner with such ease that our students are considered "a pleasure to dance with" by their other partners. This is listed on the charts as Partnership.
How The Student Feels Inside: Dancing must be fun for the dancer. The assurance and confidence that comes with the knowledge that you look well and are easy to dance with gives our students the feeling that they "could have danced all night and still have asked for more". Creative expressions motivated by the music is listed on the charts as Expression.
Everything we teach is for one or more of the reasons listed above.
